My Story

As technologies continue to advance at an incredibly rapid rate, digital products and services become an even more significant part of our day-to-day lives. It is essential to comprehend how these technologies can change the design that is made and the audience's experience, especially when it comes to creating a product that is inclusive of all people. I felt it is extremely important to tackle human problems. My enthusiasm was coupled with the scope for how a designer can shape change in the industry. That is the very reason I choose to pursue a career in a creativity-related field. Design is in anywhere. It is important to a designer to become a better designer and for developing that we need a lot of collaboration, co-operation and most importantly willing to learn,

Although I pursued an academic rather than a creative path in school, I have always been naturally inclined towards artistic pursuits. I struggled to find other jobs which give me happiness through my contribution or service. It was a challenging time to move forward. But those difficult times gave me discipline, consistency, and a purpose. In my life, I know there was a fire inside me. That never allowed me to settle for less when I found art and design roles in my life. I started investing in myself, taking notes, learning myself, making plans, and goals, polishing skills, and learning software skills. Those processes were not short-term and aimed towards my long-term goals. I realized that I could achieve my goals with this skill as a tool. So, I made that as a core, and it turns into my one burning desire.

I started my academic career with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. Studying Physics really helped strengthen my foundational skills in science which I soon realized helped me with my career in graphic and user interface design. This degree significantly contributed to my understanding of what I call core tenets of modern design processes like investigation, hypothesis, and finally, conclusion. Multiple lab sessions and experiments definitely helped me with my practical skills. Even though my Bachelor's was an extremely enriching experience, I never let go of my passion for art and design. Hence, I took this technical knowledge from my Bachelor's and my passion for art and put it together.

Post my Bachelor's, due to obligations, I had to assist my father in his business which majorly dealt with the transportation or distribution of products for the Food Corporation of India. This required a certain amount of expertise in the field of Supply chain and Logistics. Hence, in order to do justice to my father's hard work, I chose to complete a Diploma in Shipping and Logistics. This helped me build a substantial understanding of the domain. For this purpose, I had to take a two-year gap to help work in my father's business, and simultaneously, I also prepared myself for my career in Design. By day I was helping my father, and by night, I was preparing myself for my entrance exams for my Master's in Design.

My passion materialized when I got my admission to the Master in Design program at the National Institute of Fashion Technology. I was introduced to subjects like Design Thinking & Methods, Visualization & Digital Representation, Experience Design, Communication Design, Design for Sustainability, Design Research Methods, UIUX, Design Innovations, and so on. This boosted my understanding of graphical interpretation. Now I have information that aims for a better future, So I am looking for a program that specializes in and allows me to learn more in-depth. By learning and practicing daily, I believe that any designer can build or upgrade their design career. 

I chose the United Kingdom as the destination of my Master's program, as it will give me international exposure and a platform to view what organized social work looks like. Earning the right international credential will boost my profile and provide me with the credibility that inspires trust, and ensures that people take me seriously.
